I make a mix of ambient, industrial, glitch, IDM music. It's intriguing, and I would be happy to answer any questions about any of my music, as well as help aid others learn about sound creation.

Optimistic about it on this site, sadened by the inability for 160kbps to play it properly.

Eye Candy: You can pretend you know what your looking at (other then a poorly resized paint product).

Uploaded a new song The Illusion of Conscienceness. I was going for an ensemble feel, and I think I got it. I'm exceptionately pleased with how things turned out, as it was my first serious attempt at classical music that is not only possible to play, but features playing styles that are true to the instruments used.
Lot of detailing involved.
At the bottom of the page I've included a capture of the playlist, and the detache strings that play (the strings pattern is highlighted in the playlist).

I got a new computer recently, its not a beast machine but it runs faster then what I had. Songs render at about 30 times the speed now (15 hour render time to 30 minutes instead).
This means music to come will be better produced, and more complex.

Uploaded an industrial/glitch song called "We Aren't Marketable" on Sept 22. So far its not too popular. Its effect heavy, loud, experimental, and overall grungy, with a lot of emphasis on the drum work. There also a synth that sounds like clipping bass and white noise. I got told a few times its clipping and whatnot, but no, that sound is intentional.
Also my song "Slug" made it as #6 all time scores for the weekly. It too is diminishing in score, though its a much better made song then We Aren't Marketable. It would be best considered ambient-glitch.
Overall pleased to be getting listens, downloads, reviews, PMs and some helpful feedback.

I recently redid my own banner and graphics, as well as Gravey's. They look much nicer now. If anyone wants some graphic work done for them, I would be happy to do so in exchange for a couple of reviews.

Here is a screen shot of We Aren't Marketable's piano roll. Pretty simple automation and progression.

My song Constructive Destruction made #2 weekly on the audio portal. Its a sound collage made of samples from Warcraft 3, David Lynch's film "Eraserhead" and samples created and taken by me. Its Industrial in nature and emphasizes low frequency tones.
Its certainly worth a listen, its unfortunate a lot of NG simply has no like for this kind of music.
Also...
Updated my own banner, display and signature.
Helped out Gravey with his graphics too.
If you need new graphics yourself, I'll happily do so for you in payment for some decent reviews: Contact me!

Bought a USB-Midi cable, as well as a Tascam DR-07 (portable stereo recording device) which I will be utilizing for my own sampling purposes, as well as for foley work for some of the projects I'm working on.

I bought myself a drum machine recently, its my first peice of hardware* and it was only $35 from a friend. :)
*Excluding computer/piano/microphone of course.
2 comments | Log in to comment! | Share this!Recently I started a music project which will be featuring lyrics which is a big first for me. To make it more interesting though, its sample based mainly. So I've taken this hour long sermon by a preacher named "Paul Washer" sampled a number of quotes, cut out bits and peices to fit my needs, and I'm essentially setting it to a beat and whatnot, with neat stretching/stutter effects and the likes.
Heres 1:46 of it so far, rather sloppy but nice anyways.
The main synth is a looping drone sound from a bagpipe with a bit of reverb and delay.
Other artists and sound effects will be included for additional flavor. If anyone reading this thinks something may fit in as a sample, leave a comment, I'll probably use it if you put some thought into it.
Updated: 03/11/09 2:23 PM 3 comments | Log in to comment! | Share this!I just deleted tons of computer waste and accounts that I am no longer using. Made a new email and shifted everything onto it, and made a new Newgrounds account. My other two are usernames I never was satisfied with (Jimpy was taken), so I've settled for Invisible Observer. Plus the other accounts seem to be signed up to email accounts that don't exist which is frustrating.
Cleaning up being done, I'll be submitting loops and songs that are near completed only, as well as some experimental flash videos in the near future.
